Suzanne Evans backs Leadsom for Tory leadership

[dropcap]P[/dropcap]rominent UKIP Leadership candidate Suzanne Evans has put party politics to one side and put her full support behind Andrea Leadsom’s bid to become Conservative leader.

Miss Evans accepted a £500 free charity bet from bookmakers Star Sports, and has backed Leadsom at odds of 5/2. All winnings will go to her charity Lipoedema UK, which she has run since 2011.

Suzanne Evans comments: “I’m delighted to back Andrea for the Conservative leadership- she’s someone I particularly enjoyed campaigning with during the referendum and would be a fantastic Prime Minister. It’s important that our next Prime Minister that believes in a United Kingdom free from the shackles of the EU, and Andrea has proved her to be so passionate about our exciting future ahead.”
