West Brom v Everton

[dropcap]I[/dropcap]t could well prove to be a tough introduction for new Baggies boss Pepe Mel as they face an Everton side with plenty of momentum tonight.

Everton have suffered just one defeat in their last 14 league games and their tally of 41 points is their highest after 21 games of a season since 1978-79.

A win tonight lifts them into fourth (and, more importantly for their fans) above Liverpool.

West Brom on the other hand are only three points off the drop zone and would no doubt settle for a repeat of the meeting at Goodison earlier this season.

Teams often play above themselves for a new manager and West Brom might well be able to see out another draw and halt Everton’s progress.
