🐾 The 2026 Online Greyhound Derby Charity Auction is a collaborative fundraising initiative being organised during the Star Sports Greyhound Derby period in support of greyhound welfare and rehoming charities. The auction will be promoted online and within the official Towcester racecard throughout the Derby period, and we will ensure that all individuals, businesses, owners, trainers, breeders, and supporters who contribute towards the success of the initiative receive appropriate recognition and acknowledgement for their support.

🐾 The event is being organised by Olivia Noble (Epping Branch of Lincolnshire Greyhound Trust) and will be run and managed by the Lincolnshire Greyhound Trust. While the event administration and governance will sit with Lincolnshire Greyhound Trust, the fundraising allocation structure has been designed to allow multiple registered greyhound welfare and rehoming charities to benefit from the initiative (see Fund Distribution Model Below).

🐾 The online auction will run from 1st June 2026 (Derby Lunch) through to 7th June 2026 (the day following the Derby Final) via the Greyhound Trader platform and will be open to bidders across the UK, Ireland, and internationally. All bidding will be conducted in GBP.

🐾  50% of net proceeds will be awarded to one charity, selected via a public random draw (held on 7th June 2026, following the close of the auction). 50% of net proceeds will be shared equally between all selected beneficiary charities.

🐾 UK and Irish registered greyhound rehoming charities are invited to apply to be considered. Participation in the allocation process will be limited to charities and rehoming groups whose approach aligns with the collaborative aims of the initiative and who maintain a constructive working relationship with the licensed greyhound racing industry.
