Oxford Stadium’s wow factor has reached new levels, thanks to the support of key sponsors starsports.bet.

The UK’s leading luxury bookmaker has extended its commitment to UK greyhound racing as part of the Cowley venue’s regeneration by completing a major visual facelift.

Its branding has been positioned inside and outside the seven-day-a-week multi-purpose community hub, which reopened in April 2022 following a 10-year closure.

starsports.bet will operate a regular trackside pitch when greyhound racing begins on Friday, September 2, and has committed to sponsoring the first major gala evening to celebrate the sport’s return.

The move will support Oxford Stadium Managing Director Kevin Boothby’s ambition to position the venue at the heart of the local community by reinstalling much-loved sports and wellbeing projects.

Ben Keith, starsports.bet owner, said: “We’ve established a fantastic relationship with Kevin and his team through our sponsorship of the prestigious English Greyhound Derby at Towcester Racecourse.

“Everyone connected to greyhound racing has an association or memory of Oxford Stadium, and its return this year has injected some much-needed positivity into the sport.

“Broadening our sponsorship to Oxford was a natural progression, and we’re pleased to be able to showcase our brand across the entire stadium.

“On a personal note, I have wonderful memories of racing at Oxford. Our Head of Greyhound Trading Martin ‘Lofty’ Chapman will be based in Oxford too, so to have his local track return is extra special. We all cannot wait for opening night!”

Kevin Boothby, Oxford Stadium MD, added: “The stadium has undergone a significant transformation since we secured our 10-year lease last summer.
