Reform candidate 5/2 second favourite from 13/2 to be next London Mayor; Khan 9/4 favourite

William Kedjanyi, Political Betting Analyst at Star Sports, said: “Reform’s decision to nominate Laila Cunningham as their London mayoral candidate is a bold start to 2026, and it looks like a smart one from Nigel Farage and his party.

“Cunningham has an extensive local background and has increased her profile rapidly since joining the party. She’ll now be the representative of a party that has made increasing gains in London polling. In the 2024 General Election, Reform picked up 8% of the votes in London, but recent polling in the Greater London area suggests they’re rising to between 19-23%.

“Reform are on the charge in London and Cunningham is likely to be facing up against the vulnerable Mayor in Sadiq Khan, who’s representing a Labour party that has fallen out of favour with voters.

“We have shifted Cunningham’s price from 13/2 into 5/2 for her to be elected as the next Mayor of London, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see that shift even further very soon.”
