#BettingPeople: LIV NOBLE
#BettingPeople: Lincolnshire Greyhound Trust (LGT) has become one of the most successful and respected greyhound homing centres in the country. After their Epping branch recently and successfully homed a greyhound called Goldie to the boss, Ben Keith, we at Star Sports thought it was about time we went to find out more about the charity, with great thanks to homer Liv Noble for giving us her time.
LIV NOBLE (part 1 of 3)
In part one, Liv explains more about how LGT was founded and has grown to include this branch in Epping and her role in homing greyhounds. She tells us how adaptable greyhounds are in a home and reflects on homing through the Covid pandemic and now.
LIV NOBLE (part 2 of 3)
Liv tells us why she thinks LGT has so much success in homing greyhounds and what sets them apart. For one thing, Liv is very proactive in small dog and cat testing and explains how and why this is important to the charity. We also discuss the importance of homing volunteers across the country, to the racing industry.
LIV NOBLE (part 3 of 3)
In part three, we delve a little deeper. Liv talks about the funding of retired greyhounds and how, thanks to the GBGB bond scheme, financially the charity is more secure but explains why she thinks more funds are needed nationally to help raise awareness about greyhounds as pets. We also discuss the balance of being pro-welfare and pro-racing and why the ‘antis’ should be re-evaluating their position.
