I saved the best until last on the opening day with Spillane’s Tower coming to my rescue when he stayed on grandly to win his second Grade 1 in a row for the Mangan team writes DAVY RUSSELL.

On now to Wednesday’s card – it doesn’t get much better than this – three Grade 1’s in a row finishing with the feature of the week the Punchestown Gold Cup!
