Harris 9/2 from 12/1 to win election; Biden out to 7/1 from 9/2

Biden was 9/2 to be elected as President on Wednesday morning but has since ballooned out to 7/1, while his price of 1/4 to be the Democratic nominee has flown out to 5/4.

Harris has conversely come into 9/2 for presidency from 12/1 on Wednesday, with a stab at being the Democratic nominee looking increasingly likely at 11/10 – in from 9/2.

William Kedjanyi, Political Betting Analyst at Star Sports, said: “Things seem to be going from bad to worse for Joe Biden after testing positive for COVID-19, and as a result, there’s been a fair bit of movement in the markets in favour of fellow Democrat Kamala Harris.

“Biden is now as big as 7/1 to be elected as president in November from a smaller price of 9/2, with a massive shift likewise seen in the Democratic nominee market where he’s gone from odds-on at 1/4 out to 5/4.

“Kamala Harris has meanwhile moved ahead of Biden in the market, shortening to 9/2 for presidency from 12/1 yesterday. It seems as if the faith in Biden is dwindling within the party and we’ve likewise slashed Harris’ price into 11/10 to be the Democratic Nominee from 9/2.”
