SILVESTRE DE SOUSA: Chelmsford Injury Update

Just a quick update to say that after my spill aboard In The Breeze at Chelmsford on Tuesday night, I’m still uncomfortable so won’t be riding this weekend. I got thrown to the floor as my mount stumbled on leaving the stalls and it was my head that hit the ground first. I initially thought I was okay as I managed to ride one more later on the card, but I felt really sore as the night went on.

I went to hospital the next day and the scans showed I’ve just bruised the muscles around my neck. I had physio at Peter O’Sullevan House in Newmarket yesterday, today and will again visit every day of the weekend. That should mean I will be clear to ride again on Tuesday.
