STAR FOOTBALL PREVIEW Mon: Aston Villa v Arsenal

Arsenal will be looking to make it two Premier League wins from two when they travel to Villa Park to face Aston Villa on Monday evening, writes JOE CITRONE.

The Gunners made an excellent start to their title defence with a convincing 3-0 victory over Coventry, which followed an equally impressive 3-0 Community Shield success against Manchester City.

Villa, meanwhile, could hardly have had a worse opening weekend as they were beaten 4-0 away at Brighton. Unai Emery’s side have also endured a difficult summer, with a number of important players departing Villa Park, the latest being Ollie Watkins who has joined Al Hilal.

⭐️ STARSPORTS.BET MATCH MARKETS ⭐️

Villa have lost four of their last five matches in all competitions, conceding 11 goals in the process, and Emery will need a huge improvement from his side if they are to take anything from this one.

Arsenal, by contrast, have started the new campaign in excellent fashion and arrive with confidence high after clean-sheet victories over both Coventry and Manchester City.

There have been some tight encounters between these sides in recent seasons, with Villa winning 2-1 at home in December before Arsenal responded with a 4-1 victory at the Emirates later that month.

However, Arsenal look to have considerably more stability and quality at present, while Villa are still adapting to significant changes within their squad.

I’m backing Arsenal to win to nil.
