STAR FOOTBALL PREVIEW Sun: Liverpool v Arsenal
Liverpool will be looking to continue their recent resurgence when they welcome reigning Premier League champions Arsenal to Anfield for a huge Sunday afternoon showdown, writes JOE CITRONE.
LIVERPOOL v ARSENAL PREVIEW
Liverpool have hit their stride in recent weeks under Andoni Iraola, winning five consecutive matches in all competitions.
A convincing 2-0 victory over Brighton last weekend was followed by a dramatic penalty shootout success against Chelsea in the EFL Cup, and the Reds will be full of confidence heading into this heavyweight encounter.
Arsenal, meanwhile, remain firmly in the driving seat at the top of the Premier League table, having won seven of their opening eight league matches.
Mikel Arteta’s side beat Everton 2-0 last weekend, but suffered an embarrassing cup exit in midweek after being knocked out on penalties by League Two Fleetwood Town.
They will be desperate to put that disappointment behind them with a statement result at Anfield.

WHERE’S THE BETTING VALUE IN LIVERPOOL v ARSENAL?
This is a fascinating clash between two sides with genuine title ambitions. Liverpool have looked increasingly dangerous going forward and will fancy their chances on home soil, while Arsenal’s defensive quality makes them extremely difficult to break down.
The Gunners haven’t won a Premier League game at Anfield since 2012, although have drawn on four of their past five visits. Thatβs what I think will happen again, which you can back at 9/4 with starsports.bet.
